Path of the Waves
Beaches, surfing, viewpoints and stunning nature
A coastal route that connects some of the most emblematic beaches in the municipality of Valdoviño, all renowned for their natural beauty and their quality for surfing. Along this route, visitors can explore the beaches of Vilarrube, O Baleo, Pantín and A Frouxeira, each with its own charm and unique characteristics, from long stretches of sand to breakers perfect for surfers of all levels.
As well as the beaches, the route takes you to three spectacular viewpoints: San Xiao, Punta Oural and O Paraño. These viewpoints offer impressive views of the Galician coast, with panoramas that capture the density of the sea and the uniqueness of the landscape. The Paraño viewpoint, in particular, is recognised as one of the 50 essential viewpoints in Galicia, from where you can admire both the beach and the Frouxeira Lagoon, an area of great ecological value.
The Senda das Ondas also features the Frouxeira Lagoon and its dune complex, both protected by their environmental importance and the richness of their flora and fauna. This route is not only an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and practice surfing, but also to connect with the biodiversity and unique landscape of Valdoviño, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and sustainable tourism.
