Pico Agudo Route

The Teito de Valdoviño
The route towards Pico Agudo takes us to the highest point of Valdoviño, offering a route that combines nature and spectacular views through the parish of Vilaboa and a brief passage through the municipality of Cerdido. Starting from the Rosalía de Vilaboa Cultural Centre, the path borders the Forcadas hill and the Forcadas river, entering a rural landscape surrounded by cultivated land and pastures.

The ascent to Pico Agudo is made along a stretch that alternates asphalt and dirt tracks, with steep slopes that challenge walkers and cyclists. On reaching the summit, there is an impressive panoramic view where the territories of Valdoviño, San Sadurniño and Cerdido converge. This point, with a fire watch hut and a geodesic signal, offers a visual reward that makes the effort of the ascent worthwhile.

The descent slowly brings us back to the tranquillity of the lowlands, passing along paths that wind between farmhouses and offering new perspectives of the Forcadas mountain range. The route ends when we return to the long straight that takes us back to the starting point, completing a route that stands out for its combination of physical effort and the beauty of the landscapes of Valdoviño.
